The Plaza at Mesa City Center will revitalize Downtown Mesa and serve as a long awaited hub for performances, festivals, and interaction with ASU. This iconic public space will replace existing parking lots to create a new epicenter for Mesa’s municipal home. Created via several months of study, logistical coordination, and public outreach, the design is now under construction. The result will include a large event lawn, 80’-0” long high resolution display, an iconic canopy structure, winter ice rink, and interactive water feature. Integrating the adjacent ASU Creative Futures Lab, the Plaza connects existing and planned facilities to create an iconic destination for Mesa’s emerging technology-focused workforce and entrepreneurial community.
